Nassfeld in summer
Carinthia has all the right ingredients for the ultimate Alpine summer holiday - a warm summer climate, beautiful scenery, a friendly welcome and a

In Nassfeld you will find Europe's longest gondola, the Millennium Express,transporting you to an attitude of 2000m from where you can experience
breathtaking views of the Austrian and Italian Alps.
From here you can access one of the many mountain trails or, alternatively, hop on the brand new 1920m summer toboggan run which will take you down the
mountain at a more exhilarating speed!
From the NTC Blue Day team, you can hire alternative mountain sportsequipment - suitable for all ages and abilities.
Some of the exciting equipment includes:
- Mountain Roller: A grown-up toy with large balloon tyres - no path is too stoney and no hole to big!
- Stanley Rider: A street sledge with one front wheel and two rear wheels.
- Mountain Board: The snowboard feeling for the summer!
- River tubes.

On the Flying Fox you can experience flying for 380m from tree to tree on 380m or try the Rock Labyrinth, an adventure course with rope bridges, rock
climbing and a Tarzan swing.
There are numerous mountain bike trails for all levels of fitness and ability, hiking, climbing and Nordic walking, horse riding and even a Geo
Trail to explore.
For those wishing a less active holiday, the warm crystal clear Lake Presseggersee, is the perfect place to unwind with its lovely public bathing
area with boats and windsurfers for hire, sun loungers, changing facilities,a snack bar, mini golf, children's play area and tennis courts.
Alternatively, there are numerous outdoor swimming pools with water slides for the children and bathing facilities for the adults.
Most nearby towns and villages host colourful, lively festivals throughout
the summer months where you can sample some of the local beer and experience
the famous Austrian hospitality.
Hermagor, only a 7 minute drive from Pension Sonnleitn, is a lovely traditional Austrian town with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore.
