During the ski season Pension Sonnleitn is run as a catered chalet and, because it is purpose-built, all our guests can expect a good selection of spacious and comfortable single, double, triple and quadruple rooms.
All 15 bedrooms are en-suite with satellite TV, charming traditional Austrian wooden furniture and most have balconies overlooking the ski slopes and the Carnic Alps that border with Italy.
There is even the option of a well equipped apartment for those wishing to take the self catering option.
Access to the ski area is via a free shuttle bus that stops only 200m from our front door.
Chalet board includes a traditional Austrian breakfast with fresh bread rolls delivered every morning from our local ‘Konditerei’, ham, salami, cheese, cereals, juices, yoghurt, fruit, preserves, boiled eggs, freshly brewed coffee and a selection of teas.
After a fantastic day on the slopes and perhaps a few schnapps in one of the resort’s lively après ski huts, guests will return to afternoon tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes to help stave off hunger pangs before a hearty four course evening meal and salad buffet with wine included.
Meals are served six days a week with cook’s night off on Wednesday giving our guests the opportunity to sample some of the local restaurants or perhaps some night skiing on Europe’s longest floodlit piste.
