You will absolutely enjoy yourself in summer in and around the hotel; we have a cosy terrace where you can enjoy your drink and a beautiful garden with swings, a slide and sun beds.
Because of our location close to the Italian border you can enjoy nice temperatures around 77F in summer. This part of Austria is well known for the many activities in summer.
Only 15 minutes away from the hotel you will find the Pressegger-See, Austria’s warmest lake. There are also multiple indoor and outdoor pools in the area.
There are many hiking routes for different levels in the area. You can take the gondola to Nassfeld for example and walk in the fresh mountain air. For more adventurous hiking, you can also go to the Garnitzenklamm and hike through the gulch with beautiful waterfalls.
The area is very suitable for cycling. There is a nice bike path, the R3, which goes through the entire valley; from Kötschach-Mauthen till Villach (approx. 90km).
Besides the flat bike path of the R3, there are many routes and paths through the mountains and to other villages. You can even take your mountain bike with you in the gondola and cycle from the top of the mountain (1919 metres) back to the valley.
There are also tons of outdoor activities. You can for example go rafting, rivertubing, downhill mountain carting, canyoning and climbing. We are happy to inform you about the possibilities.
